- 1 green onion, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the salmon belly dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture for extra crispiness.
- Heat a non-stick or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat and add the oil.
- Once the oil is hot, place the salmon belly skin-side down in the pan and press lightly with a spatula.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes without moving until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, score the skin lightly before cooking.
- Pair with steamed jasmine rice, roasted vegetables, or a light salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a pan for best results.
