• 1 cup warm water
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
• 1/3 cup tomato sauce
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• Fresh basil leaves (optional)
• Olive oil (for brushing)


Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix in flour and salt; knead on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, combine mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning with tomato sauce.
  • Once the dough has doubled, punch it down and roll into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
  • Spread a thin, even layer of tomato sauce over the dough and sprinkle the cheesy mixture evenly. Add fresh basil if desired.
  • Roll the dough into a log and cut into 1-inch thick slices to form the pizza sticks.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the pizza sticks are golden and crispy. Let cool slightly before serving.
